The 4th Series in Advancements in Cell Therapy (SACT) is set to be one of the largest International Cell Therapy Meetings in the Asia-Pacific region. Organized by the CAR T Cell Centre (CTCTC) at ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, SACT bridges academia and industry through international collaboration, making it India’s premier event in the cell therapy domain.
Pioneering Cell Therapy in India
SACT builds on CTCTC’s expertise, which spearheaded India’s first indigenous CAR T cell initiative in partnership with IIT Bombay, ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, and ImmunoACT.
CTCTC has gained experience in GMP operations, preclinical studies, cell processing, vector manufacturing, and novel assay and platform development.
SACT's Objectives
Accelerating Cell & Gene Therapy in India and APAC by fostering collaboration between scientists, clinicians, academia, and industry.
Addressing challenges in CAR T and other cell therapies to train the next-generation workforce in developing and implementing new therapies.
Facilitating networking, knowledge sharing, and practical training while staying aligned with global advancements.
Impact and Growth
The inaugural SACT (January 2023) was a resounding success with 200+ onsite and 500 online participants.
The upcoming 4th edition is expected to host over 1,200 delegates, with 20+ international and 80+ national speakers.
SACT continues to be a vital platform for advancing the cell therapy ecosystem in India, fostering innovation and international collaboration.
